Indigenous Spiritual Healing
At fps, Indigenous clients may access culturally relevant therapeutic and spiritual supports that recognize the importance of language, culture, traditional teachings, and spiritual healing within the recovery process.
fps has worked with therapists able to provide first-language counselling in culturally meaningful ways, particularly where language and culture play an important role in therapeutic engagement. Services have been offered in Cree, Filipino, Chinese, Laotian, and Vietnamese, alongside longstanding collaboration with Indigenous cultural teachers and Spiritual Helpers.
