She has also published and presented in areas relevant to criminal justice and forensic practice, including mental illness in sentencing, women working in criminal justice settings, and the clinical challenges of working with individuals who have sexually offended. Her forensic work includes opinions and testimony in matters involving violence risk assessment, cognitive capacity, mental state at the time of the offence, psychological injury, and related criminal and civil questions. She has been qualified as an expert witness in Manitoba courts, with appearances in Provincial Court, the Court of King’s Bench, and the Manitoba Court of Appeal.
